Bunky Echo-Hawk is a talented young artist of the Pawnee and Yakama Nations, currently living in Colorado with his wife and daughter. Through his paintings, writings and poetry, Bunky explores the dichotomy of contemporary American Indian life, the perseverance of Native culture and religion, and the stark reality that we, as Indigenous people, have survived incredible historical hardships. His art originates from his pursuit of true identity and the need to share this identity with the world. Bunky has a great sense of humor as well as a sizzling sense of irony, bringing a unique perspective to his art.
